TWO APARTMENTS IN A HISTORIC PALACE IN TURIN

Now a residential complex with every comfort

The client asked us to remodel two apartments situated in one of the city's most prestigious and elegant buildings so that each would be different and would have a distinctive character of its own: accordingly, we redesigned them by redistributing their internal layout and valorised them by selecting top quality materials.

Apartment 1

APARTMENT 1 /
ZONA GIORNO

The entry to the living area is dominated by a large greenhouse that helps illuminate the interior and brings greenery to the guestroom (which gives access to all the other rooms).
The sofa was made to measure to adapt seamlessly to the new layout.

Deep, bold colours manifest the client's desire to own a home with character and a powerful visual impact.
The floor is made of natural marble.

APARTMENT 1 /
THE DINING AREA

The dining area is characterised by wall paintings by artist Peter Ott. It is the perfect setting for the Eliot Drive Table by Cattelan, combined with the refined shape of Magda Chairs, also by Cattelan. Jackie-o chandelier by Catellani&Smith.

APARTMENT 1 /
THE KITCHEN

Hidden from sight by the layout of the apartment, the kitchen is comprised of two custom-designed sections. Top in natural marble, Homapal back panel, Miele household appliances. A mirrored wall conceals the door leading to the laundry room.

APARTMENT 1 /
THE SLEEPING ZONE

A hallway (lined with hideaway closets) leads to the two bedrooms and a bathroom clad in natural marble in keeping with the colours of the custom-made furnishings and fittings.

APARTMENT 1 /
THE MASTER BEDROOM

The owner's suite with private bathroom is characterised by a king-size bed with a leather headboard flanked by the classic elegance of Estro wall sconces. Wallpaper by Casamance gives the room a touch of exquisite refinement.
Both bedrooms feature American walnut wood flooring and wall cladding.

APARTMENT 1 /
THE GUESTROOM

The guestroom opens onto the interior greenhouse facing the living room. Privacy is ensured by a motorised roller blind. Custom wallpaper made from a photo by Piero Ottaviano. Soft lines characterise the quality furniture made to drawings.

Apartment 2

APARTMENT 2 /
THE DINING ZONE

The characteristic oval ceiling centrepiece above the Orbital dining table by Cattelan finds an echo in the curving outline of the boiserie. The design of the light fixtures plays a key role in creating the appropriate backdrops for each room: in this case, the Hoops pendant light by AxoLight provides a touch of refined eccentricity.

APARTMENT 2 /
THE KITCHEN

Adjacent to the dining zone, a custom-designed kitchen features clean, minimal lines, with a focus on the elegance of the materials: travertine for the top and the back panel, panelling in reconstituted multi-layer veneer by Busnelli International.

APARTMENT 2 /
THE ENTRANCE

The entrance, which serves as a filter between the dining room-kitchen area and the living area, is characterised by a Cattelan console table in American walnut wood placed against a custom-designed boiserie, which also houses a Rimadesio sliding door.

APARTMENT 2 /
THE LIVING AREA

The greenhouse, which hosts a sculpture by Andrea Boeris made expressly for the client, gives the living area a remarkable personality. A large Calia Italia sofa with soft welcoming lines has been arranged appropriately to receive guests and facilitate the conversation.

The boiserie covering the wall across from the sofa conceals storage space and a TV set next to a period writing desk.
In this room, as in the dining room and the entry hall, photos by artist Peter Ott find their ideal setting.

APARTMENT 2 /
IL BAGNO

The bathroom uses two different types of natural marble, combined according to a well-thought-out plan. Custom-made furnishings and fittings make optimal use of the available space.
